Know what’s working in your growth, and why.

Most founders build growth one piece at a time
It usually starts with a performance marketer, because ads feel urgent. Then a freelancer builds the landing page, an agency takes paid social, and a dashboard tool arrives, followed by a second one when nobody trusts the first. Each piece makes sense on its own, and nobody owns the joins between them.
So you’re spending on growth and can’t tell what’s working. Every hire, channel and tool decision still ends with you, and it’s easy to start doubting yourself. You shouldn’t have to hire six specialists to find out what’s broken.
Where does your funnel leak?
Five stages, in the order a customer meets them. Each one has its own page in the library: what I did at that stage, where, and with what.
Acquisition
01
Every stage after this one inherits the people this one brings.
Activation
02
Doubling activation is usually cheaper than doubling acquisition, and it makes the same spend worth more.
Retention
03
A flat retention curve is the only growth that compounds. Everything else is a bucket with a hole.
Referral
04
Referred customers churn less and are worth more over their life, and it is the one channel that gets cheaper as it grows.
Revenue
05
CAC payback is the number that decides whether growth is an investment or an expense.

What I’ve learned, written down
The frameworks I use, teardowns of the books founders read, and notes from the work, sorted by stage of the funnel, each with where I’ve used it. Free to read.
Every number on this site has a source, and every write-up says what didn’t work.
Building growth one piece at a time costs months of hiring, and money spent on growth nobody can read. When the stages work together, you know what’s working, and why.
